Previously known as Adriaan Jacobs, Adrae broke out his new name with two singles (Focus on God ft DVon, Keagan Holland, Mdee and Faith ft Tshabuza). Today he dropped his first album under his new name titled Afterlife, a collection of spoken word pieces, now live on all major music platforms.

The 8 tracks chronicle the social ills, church hurt and God’s heart for us. Adrae shared in an interview that he chose to use spoken word as the medium because of its ability to make a message heard, “I want to be heard,” stated Adrae. And heard he has been the title track summarises the heart behind the album and the vocalist add quality to each piece carried by the melodies, amplifying the urgency of the message. He features Antonia, Chester Fisch, JD Crosson and Micheal David on the project.

He also dropped the music video for Pray – a track from his album 13 and another for his sing Focus on God, both available on YouTube since last month.
