15. Ricwa

Rapper.
Ricwa was born in a Community of poverty, drugs and crime. Ricwa looked up to gangsters who roam the hood in phly cars and phly girls. Staying true to tradition Ricwa, like many young kids from the neighborhood, joined a gang where car jacking and drug dealing were the order of the day. Its only when Ricwa was full of guilt that he called on GOD and GOD replied. Ricwa’s Life changed and now lives for GOD and is on a mission to share the same revelation that changed his life.


14. Jhey Dot

Rapper, Producer, Medical Technologist, Researcher and CO-founder of Creation Waits.
Zambian born, Joseph M. Chalwe professionally known as Jhey-Dot, is an academic currently pursuing a PhD from Vaal University of Technology. He is also an upcoming rap artist, song writer and music producer based in South Africa.

He is a Christian artist and also a promoter of many young artists. He is a co-founder of Creation Waits Ministry a fast growing Christian organisation that deals with young people and is a record label .

Among his many works is a solo album (The T.R.A.D.E.) which has earned him a nomination at the Mzansi Christian Awards (MCA) as Rap artist of the Year in October 2016. Additionally, He has been involved in several events and shows within South Africa and outside.


13. Church Boyy Bizness

A group of rappers and a singer made up by Jorimn, Yung Josh and R_T.
CHURCH BOYY BIZNESS is a Christian hip hop trio based in Durban South Africa and it is made up of two rappers [Dumisani Sitambuli aka Jorimm & Sikhumbuzo Mbhatha aka Yung Josh and a vocalist [Athenkosi Lindani Mzimela aka R_T .
CBB was originally a group of 8 guys from the same ministry who came together to use their different gifts such as dancing, poetry, singing, rapping and preaching to spread the gospel in their local church, around various communities in the city of Durban and on social media through a youth TV show. It was out of that group that the three musicians, driven by their love for hip hop and a passion to reach the world with the gospel, formally established the Christian hip hop outfit in January 2015.
The three have a brotherly bond which has been strengthened over the years as they served together in church and as they embarked on community out reaches. Their music deals with life issues from a biblical perspective for both those in the church and those out of the church and their mission is sure, to produce the highest quality music to exalt the Highest name in the universe – JESUS.


12. Novl.

Tshepo Nkoana better known by his stage name NOVL. is a South African rapper, songwriter and Record producer based in Johannesburg. Born 25th May 1994 in Polokwane, Limpopo and was he grew up in Lephalale, Limpopo. Novl. attended Hoerskool Ellisras for his high school years and that is where he learned the art form of Rap music and the Hip Hop Culture. He then moved to Johannesburg to further his studies at the University of Johannesburg to pursue his LLB degree.


11. KOOLKIDJENIUS

Rapper, Graphic Designer, and CO-founder of Nurd Media.
Kabelo Molelekoa better known by his stage name KOOLKIDJENIUS is a South African Rapper, songwriter, blogger born in Lesotho, Mafeteng, grew up in Bloemfontein & Johannesburg. He became a professional rapper at the age of 20 in 2016. He stated with his big hit in his career called #BigGod. He attended school at Petunia Secondary School and Phahama Secondary. He fellowship at Jesus Is Lord Christian Center, with ministry of Media, as a deputy chairperson. He has Diploma in Information Technology.


10. Incense

Rapper, Radio DJ, nominated at 2015 Mzansi Gospel Awards for Hip Hop Album of the year.
“Incense is a South African Christian Rap artist born in Soweto & bred in Pakamisa a Township outside King Williams Town, in the Eastern Cape , who has been an activist of South Africa’s now biggest Hip Hop Sub-Genre “Christian Hip Hop” since 2011, the year he pioneered TAKE TAKE THE MOVEMENT together with his friends.

The movement reached more than 2000 young people who were transformed by the gospel carried in the God-inspired lyrics from poets and rappers.

Phlo-Girl is a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her sound is original and refreshing, bringing a soulful element to her music. Don’t get us wrong, Phlo-Girl spits fire and there is no questioning the authority in her tone and execution; but in addition to that her feminine side make her music easy listening. She has managed to touch on real life / practical issues faced by the youth and young adult in the world we live in today. Her latest album This is War is her best work to date, as she takes us through an emotional journey of struggle, survival, realization, confession, and victory.

Rapper, Producer and an Actor based in Durban.
Silas Jirnde Nsulunka well known by his stage name “REAL S.O.A.K” is a Christian rapper from Durban, South Africa. He has been making major moves from the day his signing with BiG Light Records has been announced.

REAL S.O.A.K’s vision is to reach those that are in need of light to shine upon their lives, to encourage them to be the best that they can ever be and most importantly to bring souls to Christ. In his music you will hear him talking a lot about life, social issues that we as humans encounter in our lives, he also speaks a lot about spirituality, although for the most part he talks about life and less of God but he always lets the transparency between his belief fuse into his music and the way he approaches subject matters.
