Vimbs Momentous’ Unmasked Season Two: Going through changes is a brand-new album that is dropping next week Monday, 10 May. The album is a deeply personal journey into Momentous’ walk with God, as he wrestled with questions and emotions that have had a severe impact on his faith.

He says, “the last five years have been the most excruciatingly painful time in my life, I’ve had failed attempts on suicide, suffering from depression and anxiety.”  The lockdown gave the rapper time to introspect in which he was able to have a real moment of self-reflection and intimacy with God. Momentous says, Ï was furious with Him (God) but in the same breath I had a moment where I was like it’s cool God do what you gotta do so that things look up for me.” This upcoming album is a product of the whole process of basically rediscovering God and returning to a place of restoration.

Too many times we hear the words, “Be strong” or “Bekezela” and personally for me those words don’t allow a person to be vulnerable, if needs be cry, LET IT ALL OUT.

Momentous has indicated that the album contains a blend of different sounds such as Maskandi, Boom Bap, Kwaito, and Jazz Fusion Beats. As for the features on the Album, Momentous says, “I got people who have been where I’ve been, and these talented artists helped me tie the album together.”

The purpose of Unmasked Season Two, according to Momentous, is to produce a work that people can relate to on a level that meets them in the situation. Momentous believes that people often suffer through situations, circumstances, and traumas silently without having hope or light in the isolating darkness of their lives. He hopes that the project will be a lifeline to people. The rapper explains, “when they listen to it they will think ‘man, this song is the soundtrack of my life.”

Unmasked Season Two: Going Through Changes promises to be a deeply meaningful piece of work that is grounded in faith and realism. The album’s focus is on trial, healing, and restoration. Momentous says, “Too many times we hear the words, “Be strong” or “Bekezela” and personally for me those words don’t allow a person to be vulnerable, if needs be cry, LET IT ALL OUT.”

The album drops 10 May 2021 Unmasked Season Two: Going Through Changes will be available on all music streaming services.
