If you have been following our social pages you will know that SACHH has featured various artists on the first of the Squad single series; namely the Followers, A.B.O, Jonta the Flame, Carlos Tina and King Smasher. The single drops this Saturday, 8 May 2021 on YouTube.

The single is bringing in the bars and flames in its hip-hop warcry fashion. The song embodies the tenacious stance of Christian rappers who aren’t afraid to let the world know to whom they belong. In a world when young believers are being tried about if being a Christian is wack? Is talking about Jesus, cheesy? Is living for Him outdated? These bars challenge the opposition whilst comforting the young believer saying that hey, you’re not alone.

The wordplay addresses the physical opposition which could be the old self, the world but mainly the true enemy that isn’t flesh and blood and the imagery that they may seem physically outnumbered and outmuscled but that with God we have a greater squad. Squad, takes the style of battle rap on a South African soccer field, spitting the bars relentlessly about the Kingdom they rep in true Mzansi style with the multilingual and colourful delivery.

Some of the lyrics have been released already, which lyric resonates the most with you and your squad? But don’t stop there join us tonight as we host the Squad Stay-Up party at 11:40 pm on our Facebook page, counting down the minutes to the single premiere and listen to the heat for yourself.
